Great Adventure Holidays

Holiday time is very important and an increasing number of people are looking for an adventurous, active and exciting time away. It seems like it is becoming part of our social status and a must-do.

Adventurous holidays mean different things to different people. When we choose an adventure holiday, we may consider a grade five white water rafting experience, sky diving out of a plane over one of the beautiful New Zealand landscapes, surfing the awesome waves of the Pacific Ocean, skiing over the Alps or exploring the underwater world on a diving holiday.

Whatever adventure means to you, choosing the holiday that best meets your needs and aspirations is very important and will help you make the most of your time away from home. This post will describe some of the top adventures picked as part of a holiday and hopefully give you great ideas.

Scuba diving

Scuba diving holidays will take you on a voyage of discovering the underwater world of wonders. This is the perfect holiday for those fascinated about marine life, wanting to be active or just interested in trying something new.

Scuba DivingWhether you are a novice or an expert diver there are a range of diving holidays to suit you, ranging from swimming with beautiful marine life including sharks, mantas, whale sharks or very small critters, to exploring caves and caverns, or discovering amazing wrecks that have lain on the sea bottom for hundreds of years.

For those travelling with a family, there’s also the opportunity to introduce diving at a relatively young age. Once kids are confident swimming, they can gradually be introduced to simple dives, before graduating to the more challenging dives that may appeal to older members of the groups.

Surfing

Surfing holidays are a great choice when looking ahead to 2014. Surfing not only gives you an extraordinary workout, it is also a great way to get a tan, meet new people and make a beach holiday far more exciting!

Surfing holidays are pumped full of adrenaline and located on some of the most beautiful and exciting places around the globe. You can choose from a short break to Spain or be even more adventurous and travel half way across the world and visit Hawaii or Fiji, both of which are great for surfing.

Sky Diving

Sky diving is one of my favourite adrenaline rush activities. The feeling you get when you jump out of a plane is priceless, exciting and an experience of a life time.  If you are looking for something exhilarating and want to challenge yourself sky diving might just be the perfect activity for you.

Just imagine yourself on a short flight with stunning views as you climb to altitude over mountains, golden beaches and crystal clear ocean waters and experiencing the adrenaline as the aircraft door opens and the fun begins.

I belief that sky diving really takes the world of adventure to a new level. It enables you to face fears and to push your body and mind to the limits, producing a rewarding challenge as a result.

Skiing

Skiing is another exhilarating activity that for some is seen as crisp turns down the mountain, moving through a forest trail or a way of just spending some time alone or with friends and feel as alive as ever. The Alps are young, rough, rugged and daunting but a popular destination for this skiing.

This activity is perfect for those with limited holiday time available as you have a number of European destinations where you can enjoy some time on the piste.

Are you now thinking about trying out one of the above sports while on holiday in 2014? I hope you are and you will be guaranteed an experience of a lifetime packed excitement.
